The Dave & Buster's project in Woburn, Massachusetts required a comprehensive electrical installation capable of supporting a high-energy entertainment facility combining restaurant operations, arcade gaming, specialty equipment, and large public spaces.
Unlike a conventional restaurant or retail facility, an entertainment venue such as Dave & Buster's places significant and diverse demands on its electrical infrastructure. The building must support food-service equipment, commercial kitchen loads, extensive lighting, arcade and gaming systems, point-of-sale equipment, public areas, offices, and life-safety systems—all operating within the same facility.
We provided the complete electrical installation for the project, including power distribution, lighting and controls, kitchen equipment connections, arcade and gaming systems, and emergency and life-safety systems.
The electrical distribution system was designed to accommodate the facility's numerous high-demand loads while providing reliable branch power throughout the building. Specialty connections were installed for commercial kitchen equipment and other dedicated loads associated with restaurant operations.
One of the defining elements of the project was the extensive electrical infrastructure required for the entertainment areas. Arcade games and gaming systems require numerous individual electrical connections distributed throughout large open spaces. Our installation provided the branch power and specialty connections necessary to support the facility's extensive gaming environment.
Lighting was also an important component of the project. The facility requires a combination of general building lighting, restaurant lighting, entertainment-area lighting, and specialty lighting to create the appropriate environment throughout the venue. Lighting controls provide the flexibility necessary for different areas and operating conditions.
We installed the electrical infrastructure supporting emergency and life-safety systems, helping provide a safe environment for employees and guests.
The completed electrical installation provides the foundation for the facility's restaurant and entertainment operations, allowing multiple high-demand systems to operate together within a single coordinated electrical infrastructure.
