The Barrett Street Solar project is a large-scale ground-mounted solar installation located in Oxford, Massachusetts. The project was developed on a former agricultural property and encompasses approximately 125 acres, with nine individual solar arrays working together to provide approximately 16.5 MW of solar generation.
The installation includes more than 55,000 solar modules and represents a significant utility-scale renewable energy project in the region. The site was previously associated with agricultural use, including a large commercial piggery, and the solar development provides a productive new use for the property.
The project also provides benefits beyond electricity generation. More than 125 local residents, small businesses, and educational institutions are positioned to benefit from solar net-metering credits generated by the project.
Our work on Barrett Street focused on the supporting electrical systems and utility interconnection, helping integrate the large-scale solar array with the electrical infrastructure required for reliable operation.
Public project information identifies Barrett Street as a 16.5 MW DC ground-mounted solar project in Oxford, with approximately 55,000 modules installed across a roughly 125-acre field.
